Where Faith Comes Alive

Sunday In-Person Worship and Livestream

It’s with deep excitement that we look forward to resuming in-person worship on Sunday, September 20, 2020. If you are planning to attend, please keep the following in mind:

  • We will be capped at just a little more than 200 people in order to safely gather in the sanctuary. Please make a reservation and let us know you are coming by 5 p.m. today, Friday, September 18, to ensure your seating. There will be limited availability for walk-ups.

  • Face masks are required for entry into the church and will need to be worn throughout the service.

  • Our team of volunteer greeters will register your arrival and give you a quick temperature check to make sure it’s below 100.4 degrees.

  • The volunteer team members will lead you to your assigned seat. In order to accommodate as many people as safely as we can, please understand you most likely will not be sitting where you normally sit.

Please register all members of your family who will be attending the service. You can register by clicking on the link below or on our FPC App.  If for any reason you have a problem with registration, please call the church office at (954) 462-6200 during weekday office hours.

This Week's Sermon Podcast

At First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale we cater to people of all ages. From families to young adults and senior adults our diverse worship offerings provide something for everyone! We believe there is tremendous value in different styles of worship. We offer two types of services; traditional and contemporary. Each of them offers a little something different.

8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship – ON HOLD

Traditional Worship takes place at Chapel in the Sky located on the third floor of the Neumann Center. The intimate setting of our early service provides an up close and personal feeling to our worship service.

9:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship – ON HOLD

Contemporary worship takes place in our newly renovated Fellowship Hall. A more relaxed atmosphere, with contemporary music, worship band and casual attire.

11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship – LIVESTREAM ONLY

Takes place in our newly renovated Sanctuary. Our late morning service is held in a formal setting, offering everything a traditional worship service provides including organ music, hymns, choir and more!

Our live streaming service allows you to be with us on Sunday mornings from anywhere! Our 11:00 a.m. Traditional worship service can be streamed weekly by going to our home page at www.firstpres.cc and clicking on the link to today’s service.

Creating a church community that is rich in fellowship is how we ensure we grow together in our faith and stay connected with one another. We invite all who attend worship to join us for refreshments and fellowship on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Neumann Center.

Child care is available during Worship. To request this free service contact Cindy Vason.

Communion is normally celebrated on the first Sunday of each month at all worship services.

Baptisms are conducted on the third Sunday of every month during Worship.

In addition to our regular Sunday Worship offerings, services are also held on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, four services on Easter, a Hanging of the Greens service in the evening on the first Sunday of Advent, and three Christmas Eve candlelight services.
