What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Built on the gratitude felt during Thanksgiving, GivingTuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and this year, GivingTuesday takes place on December 1, 2020. It’s held on the same day in most participating countries in the world.
We have a day for giving thanks. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On #GivingTuesday, charities, families, businesses, community centers, churches, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
Who Participates in #Giving Tuesday?
Everyone! #GivingTuesday has been built by a broad coalition of partners, including individuals, families, nonprofits, schools, religious organizations, small businesses and corporations.
