GIVE THE ULTIMATE GIFT – THE GIFT OF CHRIST
This has been a difficult year for many, and the families of those incarcerated are no exception. We have been requested to provide gifts for almost twice as many children this year. Many of the parents are in prisons far from South Florida, so it is very difficult for them to stay connected to their children. We need YOUR help to remind these kids that their parent loves them and to show them that we love and care for them as well.
On Sunday, November 22nd, the Angel Tree team will be out on the patio so those attending services can choose their angel tags. BE SURE TO REGISTER YOUR ANGEL(S).
You can also access our online gift registration by clicking the button below. The Angel labels and online registration forms have suggestions for a fun gift or an item of clothing with a $25 price range, along with the age & gender of the child. Shop for the gift, include a gift receipt in the box, wrap it, attach the Angel label, if you have one, or any label or sticker including the child’s name and gift code (ex:3AT) and return it to the church as soon as possible but no later than Sunday, December 6th.
We need 6 volunteers to help sort and bag the gifts December 9th, 10th, or 11th between 5 – 8pm. Hours can be flexible, depending on the availability of volunteers.
Many volunteers are also needed for our drive-through gift pick up on Saturday, December 12th from 3:30 – 6:30pm and Sunday, December 13th from 1:00 – 4:00pm. Since we can’t have our usual party for these families we want to make the pickup process as fun and entertaining as possible, while maintaining all of the COVID safety protocols.
If you can help in either of these areas, please email Jan Nolander at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Jan at 651-894-4779.
