Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our partners at OneBlood have reported that more than 1900 blood drives have been canceled through May, which translates to more than 30,000 blood donations lost. The U.S. Surgeon General and the FDA have stated that it remains safe to donate blood and safe to attend blood drives. Because of the great need for blood, First Pres has decided to hold our drive as scheduled on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Things will be different, though. We will have the Big Red Bus on campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and encourage you to make an appointment so that social distancing protocols can be maintained. You can do that by clicking the following link:
Bathrooms will be available but you will be asked to remain in your car if you have to wait for your appointment. As usual, eat a good breakfast, drink plenty of water, and bring your ID!
Thank you for being a life-saver during this critical time in history.
