Dear Friends and Family of First Presbyterian Church,
Have you ever looked at someone you know, and, in an instance, you learned something new about him or her? In our text for Sunday, Peter, James and John learn something new about Jesus. The story is mysterious and strange, but also majestic and wonderful! This week we conclude the season of Epiphany by celebrating what the Church calls Transfiguration Sunday. Our scripture is from Matthew 17:1-9 and I hope you will read it before coming to worship.
In addition to our regular worship services this week, we are excited to welcome the Girl Choir of South Florida on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 4 p.m. in our Sanctuary. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received. After the concert, why not walk over to the Neumann Center for a Planned Giving Seminar and Dinner at 5:30 p.m., presented by the Stewardship Team.
Finally, we begin our Lenten journey together with our Ash Wednesday service on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. We will serve dinner at 5:30 p.m. and then head over to the Sanctuary to experience a time of worship to begin the liturgical season of Lent.
Looking forward to seeing you in worship!
Grace and peace,
