Looking Ahead

Dear Friends,bohl_img_0095_ks_200w

Join us this Sunday, February 19th, as Rev. Dr. Robert W. Bohl brings us God’s word from Exodus 32:15-24, 30-33 for the OT Reading and from Luke 9:37-48 for the Gospel Reading.

Frequently I am asked: “Where have all the great and authentic leaders gone?” It is an appropriate question and deserves our best attention. Obviously, it raises the question, who were the great leaders in the past? All of us have our own list, to be sure, both Biblical and secular.

From the Biblical perspective, we would find names like Abraham, Moses, Amos, and Jeremiah. But I am wondering if you would have Esther on your list? From the New Testament, we would have names like Peter, Paul, and John the Baptist, but would Timothy, Titus, Philemon, or even Mary Magdalene be on your list?

Perhaps in preparation for worship on Sunday, you can find a few minutes to read two readings from the scriptures: Exodus 32:15-24, 30-33 and Luke 9:37-48.

Honesty requires me to ask you: do you think you are an authentic leader? In my heart of hearts, I believe that is what God expects each one of us to be.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The A1A marathon that will be held this Sunday, February 19, 2017 includes Las Olas Blvd. as part of the race route.
