Looking Ahead

Dear Friends,

Join us this Sunday, October 16th, as the Rev. Dr. Bob Bohl preaches from Jeremiah 31: 31-34 and Matthew 5: 38-48 challenging us to consider what it means to be “Believable Christians.”

As we seek to encounter the living God this week in community may we prepare ourselves by discerning the priorities that we make day-to-day, hour-to-hour, and moment-by-moment. And, as we do so, let us ask God to bless us as we humbly attempt to bohl_img_0095_ks_200wtraverse the path that God has set forth for us.

As a reminder, please be sure to plan on participating in the Congregational Meeting this Sunday, which will convene immediately at the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. worship service as we elect new officers to serve in the ministry of this church.

Additionally, mark your calendars for this Sunday, October 16th, and also for Sunday, October 23rd for the all-church discipleship classes that focus on providing clarity as to who we are as Presbyterians in Christ. These classes will run from 12:45-2:45 p.m. and will be held in Fellowship Hall.

If you are interested in eating lunch prior to the class, a reservation is required. You may RSVP by calling (954) 462-6200 or through the event registration on our website at www.firstpres.cc. Lunch will be provided to you for a cost of $7.00 per person.

Our hope in teaching these classes is that, by focusing on who we are as a community of believers in Christ, we will continue to be drawn closer to our Lord in love and commitment. We pray that you will be able to join us in this sacred time as we enter into this transformative season of blessings here at First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale.

We look forward to seeing you in worship this weekend!

With Love,

Your First Presbyterian Church Family
