Your Session is very pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Robert W. “Bob” Bohl has agreed to serve as the Temporary Supply Pastor for First Presbyterian church of Fort Lauderdale beginning in October for a period of up to one year.
A graduate of Princeton Seminary, Bob has a Master’s Degree and a Ph. D. from the University of Pennsylvania in International Diplomacy and Law. In addition to serving as a Fulbright Scholar in France, Bob has pastored churches in Philadelphia, Fort Worth, and Kansas City, and was elected the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) during the 1994-1995 term.
Bob’s duties are preaching at First Pres at least twice a month during the upcoming year, as well as serving as our Session Moderator each month. During that time, the Pastor Nominating Committee will be carrying out its responsibilities in its search for a permanent Senior Pastor.
Now retired, Bob lives in Naples, Florida with his wife, Judy; the Bohls are blessed with two grown daughters and two delightful granddaughters.
Our congregation indeed will be truly blessed to learn from such a gifted Christian leader.
As many of you know, Bob has preached at First Pres several times over the past couple of years, and has always delivered a caring, thought-provoking, and dynamic message conveying all the goodness of Christ’s Word.
