2018 John Knox Silver Angel Award: Congratulations to Barb Sabin!
Barb has been a member of First Presbyterian Church for 15 years and is a true woman of faith. Her gift is SERVING, not only at her church, but in the community as well. Among her long list of good works that she has selflessly aided to others, just some of them include Chairperson & Coordinator of the Family Support Mentor Team in conjunction with Hope South Florida, serving on the Pew Crew and bulletin stuffing team and helping with the FPC John Knox Hospitality team.
Barb assists with the Blood Drive at our church throughout the year, delivers pillows from our Craft Ministry to cancer patients at local hospitals and serves on the Benevolence Committee. She has also maintained and organized the Christian collection in our church library, served on the Adult Education Committee and was instrumental in the planning of our Alpha program. Barb has been married to Jim Sabin for 38 years and has one daughter. She is an outstanding senior volunteer who has given wholeheartedly to good works of the church through her time, talents and stewardship. Barb was honored at an awards ceremony and dinner that took place at John Knox on September 6, 2018.
Thank you, Barb, for all that you do at First Pres and beyond!
